On July 2 2022, we were heading out to the South Island for 12 days. Today we were getting ready to start our 12 days journal, We woke up at 5:30 in the morning, then when we were ready, we hopped in the car and waited, then my parents came in the car. My mum set up the map as I saw it was 7hr to Picton’s ferry. After a while, my dad finally started the engine, so we were off. It wasn’t much in the car, marc and I did a lot of fussing in the car. After 3hr of sitting in the car we could finally stand up, my mum had to swap driving with my dad because my dad was tired of driving, another 4hrs of driving!!!
After another 4 more hours of driving, we finally made it to Picton’s ferry, it was 2:00 when we got there, and there was still half an hour till the boat begins moving. While we were waiting to go on the Ferry we took pictures on the side of the oceans. Finally, we could start going in the ferry car park and go inside the ferry, I got my phone and left upstairs to deck 5 and found a spot very lovely, but my dad found another spot so we sat down and looked at the big blue ocean. We went out to take more photos but suddenly the boat started to move faster, So we went back inside. After a while on the ferry, I got a little dizzy, but we couldn’t stop the boat?!
We had dinner, I had a mini hotdog plus a lot of fries! It was delicious then I felt way better than before, then my mum found this book about children going on a boat to see their uncle? There were word searches and more in the books, So for the next couple of hours, we just found a pen and started to answer in the book. Finally, we were getting ready to hop back in the car and go to Picton to stay. It was 8:00 when we got to our Picton hotel. The room wasn’t too big or too small, Marc and I had to sleep, So we jumped in bed and slept. Good night
