Maya, it is great to see how quickly you have settled into the Kereru room! One interest I have noticed is your enjoyment in playing in the outside environment.
Today there was some jelly gloop outside in the trough, which you cautiously walked over to have a look at. You stood and watched your friends playing in it, you were not too keen to have a feel and put your hands in. As you moved closer, you noticed that there were different animals in it.
Slowly you moved to touch the jelly gloop, you did not appear to enjoy the feel of it as you suddenly started shaking it off your hands with a surprised look on your face. Once you had shaken it off, you were careful to pick up the animals without touching the cold, wet stuff. You picked up and explored playing with the different animals, looking at their different features and trying to keep the gloop off you hands.
What a fascinating experience that you had this morning Maya!! As you become more settled and as your sense of belonging continues to develop you are becoming more comfortable and confident in trying new experiences offered to you. You were happy interacting with other children from our room as well as playing with the animals by yourself.
I wonder what you will find next to explore in our outside environment?
