Maya is a quiet but hardworking student who has made notable progress this year. She has consistently demonstrated excellent skills and dedication in various areas of learning. Maya continues to work on the Key Competency of Adventure and Exploring by pushing herself out of her comfort zone and taking on leadership roles.
In Reading, Maya is working on effectively employing a wide range of comprehension strategies when engaging with different types of texts. Encouraging her to share ideas with the class would further enhance her learning experience and provide valuable insights to her peers. In Writing, Maya has begun to incorporate descriptive language features that effectively engage the reader’s emotions and evoke vivid feelings. Continuing to extend her vocabulary knowledge will help her describe characters in greater detail. In Mathematics, Maya displays determination and perseverance when faced with challenging tasks. She has a strong recall of number knowledge. Maya is learning to search for the number pattern and apply her foundation knowledge to more complex problems and Geometry and Measurement.
Maya has actively participated in our inquiry unit, demonstrating an eagerness to learn and apply new skills. She has shown an ability to develop a product, calculate costs, design packaging, and create advertising materials for our school gala. Maya showed care and dedication to research our Ancient Greek topic and apply this to her report and art designs.
